Lily Nold

East coast-BASED Filmmaker, writer, and creative

Art has always been inescapable for me. Writing feels as necessary as breathing, and translating emotion into visual form is a constant, compulsive urge. As someone who has never felt “queer enough,” “woman enough,” or “unique enough,” I create to reflect a fuller spectrum of existence. My work—across poetry, screenwriting, short films, and digital and 35mm photography—offers space for nonconformity, the raw truths of mental health, and the realities of female adolescence in American life. I aim to make people feel seen, to hold space for the messy and the unpretty, and to foster belonging through honesty.
